is a district-wide support
and information group
dedicated to supporting
children with special needs
in Teaneck.
Our Mission:
- To ensure effective, appropriate learning environments for all of Teaneck’s special needs children
- To enhance the family-school partnership in special education and to facilitate access to services
- To facilitate active participation and acceptance of children with disabilities in the community
- To educate, support and mentor parents as they advocate for their child’s special education needs
- To provide opportunities for families to support each other and share information

Teaneck Special Education Department now features
an e-board on the Teaneck Schools website.
A link to the e-board can be found under the SPOTNJ "Teaneck Links" page.
To access the e-board via the Teaneck Schools website click “eBoard” located on the left side of the homepage, and then click “District Programs”, next click on “Dr. Maureen Edwards”, found under Special Services. The district plans to update the e-board weekly with messages, photos, files, and links to information from district teachers and administrators.
Website Updates: The Special Ed Law page can now be found under the Resources section. Either click on the sub menu that comes up on the Resources tab above, or click the link on the left side of the actual Resources page.
